The sun is out ! Brace yourself for our next interview. Maik introduces his blog langweiledich.net created in 2006, a genuine source of culture and entertainment !
Hello Maik, can you introduce yourself and your blog langweiledich.net?
Hi Upfluence, I am Maik Zehrfeld, a 29 years old lifestyle blogger from Germany. LangweileDich.net has been started in 2006 to fight the boredom of me, myself and my generation. Every day I post selected stuff I found on the internet and self created content like reviews, interviews, photography, and so on. The best of the best in culture and entertainment.
What are your editorial habits ?
I write all my articles on my own (except some guest postings here and there). Mainly a few personal words and assessments from myself about the projects I present, underlined with pictures and/or videos. About 7-9 postings a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
How do you use social networks ? Which one do you prefer ?
The blog content gets featured on several networks. On Facebook selected stuff that fits the audience there, Twitter and Google+ geht “the whole package”. Furthermore on Twitter and Instagram I post personal notes and pictures apart from the reposted content. YouTube is a little video playground where we for example post our monthly “WIN Compilations” (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCk_e9rhSH_Gg4Mp44Ut72ZQ). Therefore I prefer lots of networks for different reasons and on different occasions.
What are the meaningful moments of the development of the blog ?
That can be a lot of things. From the father you writes me an email that he loves to see content from me together with his kids in the evening to the minor pixel-mistake in my CSS that I finally got rid off after hours of amateur programming in the night. Small things can be very fullfilling!
Who’s your target?
Everyone who wants to be entertained and inspired or who just wants to fight his or her boredom. Or as marketers would say: 14-59yo with high interest in culture and high intellect.
Which are the most popular categories of your blog?
The “Bilderparade” (https://www.langweiledich.net/category/unterhaltung/bilderparade/) is by far the most clicked category on the blog. Every monday I present 100 images I collected, building something like a “high quality deluxe picdump”.
Where do you find inspiration?
On the web and in life itself. I visit awesome websites every day (for example you find a lot of them here: https://www.langweiledich.net/blogroll/) and get to see awesome events and places all around the world that inspire me and my writing a lot.
A little message for Upfluence?
Keep it upfluenced.
