Drive creators programs that sell.

Affiliate tracking software has one job: credit each sale to the partner who sent it, so every affiliate gets paid the right commission without anyone matching orders to partners by hand.

Choosing one is harder. Tools that look identical on a feature list connect to different stores and billing systems, and their prices grow in very different ways once affiliate sales start to climb.

We compared eight paid tools on those two points. For each one, you can see what it costs today and how that cost changes as your program scales.

Full disclosure: we built Upfluence, one of the eight tools here, and we have run creator and affiliate programs with brands for more than a decade. Every price below is the vendor’s own published rate at the time of writing.

TL;DR: The 8 Best Affiliate Tracking Software Tools

Pick by the program you run:

  • Creator-led ecommerce programs: Upfluence tracks creator affiliate sales and pays partners without taking a cut.
  • Shopify and WooCommerce stores: Refersion and Tapfiliate track affiliate sales straight from your online store.
  • Stripe or Paddle billing: Rewardful adjusts recurring commissions when subscribers change plans.
  • B2B partner channels: PartnerStack runs affiliate, referral, and reseller programs side by side.
  • Enterprise and network programs: Impact.com, Everflow, and Post Affiliate Pro handle high partner and click volume.

What to Look for in Affiliate Tracking Software

US affiliate marketing spending was forecast to pass $12 billion in 2025, according to eMarketer. With that much money flowing through commissions, a tracking error or an extra fee point costs real money at any program size.

Check each tool against these four points before you compare prices:

  • Commerce and billing integration: Confirm the tool connects natively to your store or billing system, such as Shopify, WooCommerce, Stripe, or Paddle. Switching commerce tools later is slow and expensive, so rule out any tool that fails here.
  • Tracking method: Look for first-party tracking, which records clicks on your own domain instead of relying on third-party cookies. Browsers keep blocking those cookies, so first-party tracking misses fewer sales.
  • Fee structure: Some tools add a percentage of affiliate sales to the subscription. That fee grows with every sale, so model your cost at today’s sales and at double that before you choose.
  • Audience quality: If creators are your affiliates, vet their audiences before you pay for their traffic. Upfluence found a median 7% estimated fake followers across nearly 4 million Instagram profiles. One in 16 profiles had more than 25%.

Affiliate Tracking Software for Ecommerce and DTC Brands

DTC brands need tracking that reads orders straight from the store. Refersion and Tapfiliate both connect to Shopify, WooCommerce, and BigCommerce. They split on pricing: Refersion takes a share of affiliate sales, and Tapfiliate charges a flat fee.

1. Refersion

Refersion charges a subscription plus a share of affiliate sales. Launch costs 29 per month billed annually (39 month to month) and takes 3% of affiliate sales. Growth costs 159 per month billed annually (199 month to month) and takes 2%.

The plan choice is arithmetic. On annual billing, Growth costs less than Launch once affiliate sales pass $13,000 a month. At $40,000 a month, the Launch fee alone comes to $1,200 on top of the subscription.

API access starts on Growth, so teams that sync affiliate data into other systems should budget for that plan from day one.

Every paid plan includes unlimited affiliates and conversions, tracked on a first-party domain so cookie blocking does not hide sales. Magento stores are supported too.

Above Growth, Scale is quote-only.

2. Tapfiliate

Tapfiliate charges a flat monthly price and takes no percentage of sales: Launch costs 89 per month (74 billed annually), and Scale costs 179 per month (149 billed annually).

Flat pricing pays off as sales climb. At $40,000 a month in affiliate sales, Scale still costs $179 a month, against $999 on Refersion’s month-to-month Growth plan at the same volume.

Tapfiliate handles SaaS too: its more than 30 integrations include Stripe, so subscription sales track alongside store orders.

Higher plans add program features. Scale adds multi-level commissions, which pay affiliates on sales made by the partners they recruit. Enterprise adds a fully white-labeled affiliate portal.

Tapfiliate also lists an AI agent integration built on MCP (Model Context Protocol), the standard that connects AI assistants to outside data.

Trials run 7 days on Launch, 14 days on Scale, and 30 days on Enterprise. A week is short for testing a store integration end to end, so start on the Scale trial if you can.

Affiliate Tracking Software for SaaS and Subscription Businesses

Subscription businesses pay commissions on revenue that renews every month, so their tracker has to stay in sync with billing. Rewardful does this for self-serve SaaS billed through Stripe or Paddle. PartnerStack handles B2B partner channels that include resellers.

3. Rewardful

Rewardful charges no transaction fee. Pricing goes by affiliate revenue band instead, so your plan moves up as affiliates sell more.

Each plan covers a set amount of monthly affiliate revenue:

  • Starter: The plan costs $49 per month and covers up to $7,500 in affiliate revenue.
  • Growth: The plan costs $99 per month and covers up to $15,000.
  • Enterprise: Pricing starts at $149 per month for up to $30,000 and climbs in tiers after that.

Annual billing charges for 10 months and gives you 12, which brings Starter to about $41 a month.

Choose Rewardful for the billing connection. Commissions adjust automatically when a referred customer upgrades, downgrades, or cancels, so nobody recalculates payouts by hand.

One caveat on cost: payout provider fees and affiliate withdrawal fees sit outside the plan price, as does the optional managed-payout service.

4. PartnerStack

PartnerStack makes sense for a B2B SaaS company whose affiliates sit beside resellers and co-selling partners. The feature list shows it.

The Growth tier adds a learning management system for partner training, plus tools for managing market development funds (MDF), the co-marketing budgets software vendors give resellers.

A channel team relies on those tools. A store paying creators per sale would rarely touch them.

Pricing is custom and set after a demo.

Enterprise and Network Affiliate Tracking Software

Large programs need fraud controls and room for hundreds of partners. These three take different angles on that: Impact.com on partner contracts, Everflow on media-buying data, and Post Affiliate Pro on published, volume-based pricing.

5. Impact.com

Impact.com manages every partner type in one system, covering the lifecycle from recruiting and contracting a partner through to fraud monitoring and optimization.

Look closely at contracting. You set partner terms inside the platform and tie compensation to the business outcomes you agree on.

Its optimization tools estimate partner lifetime value, which tells a partnerships team where recruiting time will pay back.

Pricing is quoted per program after a demo. Budget for a full-time partnerships owner too, because the platform’s breadth assumes you have one.

6. Everflow

Everflow is built for performance marketers. Its placement-level reports break down results by where each partner ran your offer. Media-buying integrations with Google, Facebook, and TikTok sit in the same dashboard.

That combined view is most useful to agencies and networks managing many partners across channels.

Pricing is not published. The quote form asks how much you currently pay affiliates, so expect the price to track your program’s size.

Everflow is SOC 2 compliant. Procurement teams at larger companies often ask for that independent security audit. Everflow also includes its own payout tool, Everflow Pay, and a marketplace for finding new partners.

7. Post Affiliate Pro

Check the tracking limits first. Post Affiliate Pro’s Starter plan allows 10,000 tracking requests a month, while Pro jumps to 1 million.

Starter costs $89 per month, or $79 billed annually. Pro costs $139 per month, or $129 billed annually. If your affiliates already send steady traffic, the gap in tracking limits matters more than the $50 price difference.

Ultimate, the plan the vendor marks as most popular, costs $269 per month, or $249 billed annually, for 6 million requests. The Network plan runs a full affiliate network at $649 per month, or $599 billed annually.

All plans include unlimited affiliates and 24/7 support. The vendor lists more than 210 integrations and multi-tier commissions up to 99 levels.

Starter caps setup help at 2 hours, which is tight for anyone migrating an existing program from another tracker.

Affiliate Tracking Software for Creator-Led Programs

When your affiliates are creators, tracking is the easy part. Recruiting them and getting product into their hands takes most of the time.

8. Upfluence

Upfluence Homepage

Upfluence runs affiliate tracking inside a creator marketing platform. You can recruit creators as affiliates, then ship product and pay them from the same account.

Each creator gets tracked links and promo codes. Every sale is credited back to the creator who drove it, so you can rank partners by ROI instead of follower count.

Payments run through Upfluence Pay, which collects tax forms, verifies identity (KYC), and sends bulk payouts in each creator’s currency. Upfluence takes no cut of creator-driven sales, so your platform cost stays flat as sales grow.

Upfluence AI (Jaice) is the agent that handles the repetitive work, from finding creators to drafting outreach and following up. The agent reads campaign analytics and recommends which partners to prioritize and what budget will hit a revenue target. That lets a small team run a program many times its size.

Upfluence reports a 6.5x average ROI for ecommerce brands running affiliate creators on the platform. That number is self-reported. Ask for results from brands in your category during a demo.

Plans are modular and custom-quoted, from creator discovery up to fully automated programs. Upfluence pays off when creators are a revenue channel for your brand. A team that only needs links for a handful of partners will spend less on one of the trackers above.

Affiliate Tracking Software FAQ

Questions buyers ask that no single tool answers.

How is affiliate tracking software different from an affiliate network?

Tracking software runs your own program on your terms. An affiliate network is a marketplace that connects you to its existing affiliates. Refersion, Everflow, and PartnerStack blur the line by adding a partner marketplace to their tracking.

Do affiliates need to disclose paid links?

Yes. In the US, the FTC’s endorsement guidance requires affiliates to disclose a commission to their audience. In the UK the ASA and CMA set the rules, and in Canada the Competition Bureau does, so check each market you sell in.

Can affiliate tracking software credit sales from promo codes?

Yes, ecommerce trackers can credit promo code sales when they connect to your store’s checkout. The sale goes to the affiliate whose code the shopper entered. Codes matter for creators on video and podcasts, where many viewers type a code instead of clicking a link.

How do you switch affiliate tracking software without losing partners?

Run the old and new trackers side by side for a short overlap. Move affiliates over in batches with fresh links. Keep old links redirecting until their content stops sending clicks.

Run Your Affiliate Program on Upfluence

Start with your billing system, then compare fee models. A tool that does not connect to your store costs more in manual fixes than it saves on price.

If your affiliates are creators, Upfluence keeps recruiting and payouts in the same place as tracking, with a marketplace of 14M+ creators to recruit from.

Every sale ties back to the creator who earned it. Upfluence takes no cut of their sales.
Upfluence AI (Jaice) handles the follow-ups and tells you which partners to back next.
