The America 250 Creator Index
The United States turns 250 on July 4, 2026, and creators are flooding social with it. We mapped 13,989 America 250 posts to find who is actually driving the conversation, and where brands fit in.
The headline numbers
Five facts a marketer or journalist can quote on the America 250 social moment.
- America 250 is already a large creator conversation: 13,989 posts from 5,968 creators across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube since January 2025.
- It is ramping hard. Monthly Instagram posts rose roughly 24x, from 121 in June 2025 to 2,875 in May 2026, and are still climbing into the anniversary.
- Consumer brands have barely arrived. The conversation’s tags are dominated by official America 250 commissions and tourism boards, with few consumer brands so far, so the lane is open.
- Instagram is the brand-safe lane. Its leaders are travel, local, history and food creators, led by Philadelphia creator koryaversa with 298,161 engagements.
- Creators on Upfluence’s political-creator list drive about a third of America 250 engagement, most on TikTok (39%) and least on Instagram (28%), so brand-safety screening matters.

The brand-safe creator leaderboard
Top America 250 creators by total engagements (likes plus comments) on their in-scope posts, one list per platform, after removing political, campaign and news accounts. The number on each row is total engagements across the period.
YouTube has only a handful of brand-safe America 250 creators. The platform is otherwise dominated by political and news channels (see section 04).
Who is claiming America 250
The accounts creators tag most in their America 250 posts. The field is owned by official commissions and tourism boards, not consumer brands, which is where the open lane is.
The most-tagged accounts are overwhelmingly official America 250 commissions and tourism or civic organisations. Genuine consumer brands are rare so far, with Prime Video and a regional Ford dealer the clearest examples. For a consumer brand, that is white space: the moment is not yet crowded with competitors.

The politics caveat
Creators on the political list are a minority of America 250 posters, but they account for roughly a third of the engagement, more on TikTok than elsewhere. It is the main thing a brand should screen for before booking.
Creators on the political list drive roughly 32% of America 250 engagement among the top creators who account for the bulk of it.
Political share of engagement by platform. TikTok skews most political; Instagram least.

Early brand activations
Brand partnerships in America 250 content are still rare; the conversation is mostly organic. These are two of the first brand-safe activations we found, useful as a template for early movers rather than as top performers.
Top brand-safe posts to watch
Live, on-topic America 250 posts that show the tone a marketer can stand next to: history-humor merch, music and a civic-history moment. We have left partisan posts out by design.
What this means for brands
Three moves for any brand planning an America 250 push before July 4, 2026.
The America 250 tag landscape is owned by official commissions and tourism boards, with almost no consumer brands present yet. A consumer brand that books creators now owns share of voice competitors have not claimed, and avoids the July crush.
Instagram carries the brand-safe supply: travel, local-city, history-museum, gardening and food creators. These are the natural fits for product, retail and travel campaigns tied to the anniversary.
On TikTok and YouTube the highest-reach America 250 content is political. Use the brand-safe leaderboard and screen every creator’s recent posts so a patriotic campaign does not land beside partisan content.
Volume is compounding monthly. The window to seed content and let it build authority is now, in the run-up, not the week of July 4 when the feed is saturated.
America 250 creator marketing, answered.
Data source. Upfluence proprietary creator data across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, covering posts published between 1 January 2025 and 18 June 2026.
In-scope definition. A post is counted when its caption, tags, description or transcript matches America 250 terms: america250, #america250, semiquincentennial, and July 4 2026 phrasings. Generic patriotic phrases were excluded unless paired with a US-specific token, to avoid unrelated content.
The numbers shown. On the cover, post and creator counts are totals over the period. In the leaderboards and the YouTube chart, each value is total engagements (likes plus comments) on a creator’s in-scope posts. In the trend chart, each value is posts published that month.
Ranking metric. Creators are ranked by engagement volume with a floor of two in-scope posts. Volume rewards reach; rate would over-reward tiny accounts.
Political classification. Creators are tagged political or news against Upfluence’s curated political-creator list (24,570 accounts), matched by creator. Listed creators are excluded from the brand-safe leaderboards and posts. Classification is viewpoint-neutral: all persuasions are counted together.
Brand presence. Automated affiliate and sponsorship tagging resolves a brand on only about 0.2 percent of all Instagram posts platform-wide, at the same rate in 2025 and 2026, so its near-absence here reflects the tool, not the topic. Brand presence is therefore assessed through the accounts creators tag (mentions), which surface official commissions, tourism boards and a small number of consumer brands. This is a presence signal, not a verified sponsorship count.
Honest gaps. Counts are mentions, not audience reach. June 2026 is a partial month and is excluded from the trend chart. Engagement is platform-reported and not deduplicated across platforms.
